17) School District of Philadelphia - Family Resource Network In this site, there is information on how to improve a student's daily attendance at school (for smaller children). Also, there is a nice section on how to ensure the health of the students as well as how to increase family and community involvement in the work of the schools. There is also a great section on how to improve school safety which consists of a great school safety response program which could be used as an outline. There are some very good resources for keeping schools safe, as well as a section on behavioral health (mental health).
18) Afterschool.gov This site makes it possible to find Federal dollars. By using their database of more than 100 grant and loan programs from the Federal Government. Also on this page is a number of community success stories and opportunities to network publications. There is also a big collection of government guides, reports, research and links. Along with that, there is a list in links to web sites for kids and teens - safe, fun and educational websites for kids and teens. In addition, there is information on organizing an after school resource fair, or how to find a fair near you.
This site is all about violence prevention resources in general. In fact, I think this site houses the largest source of prevention resources. There also is multimedia links to basic principles of prevention in general.
