This page contains a very good summary of violence prevention. It addresses the problem, and states possible solutions which given in a very detailed, prepared manner.  Also, the page lists some controversies in school violence prevention, like security and  more strict sentences for offenders.  There is also links to Early Warning signs Timely Response and a very interesting TV violence study.

This site offers statistics, news, reports and help on many subjects including:

  • Men Stopping Violence Against Women.

 

13) Talking With Kids: Violence

Great guide on talking with students about violence, sex drugs, and alcohol.  Very good resources on talking with children, which I think is one of the most important areas in violence prevention.

 

14) Mothers Against Violence in America

Under the section "Want to do something about Violence in Schools" there are guidelines for educators along with "teachable moment" lesson plans along with a nice handout named "Working Together to Create Safe Schools."

 

15) Virginia Youth Violence Project

Great section on what works and an especially good section on preventing gun violence at school:
