Review: As opposed to other systems that claim to be diceless, Amber is truly diceless... no gimmicks.

The game system itself is simple and unique, and allows role-playing to come to the front like no other game I have played. Some of the best role-playing I've seen in my games was from the 5-year period that I ran Amber.

As a word of caution, because it is diceless and relies heavily on the judgment of the GM, it is important that the players trust the Game Master more so than games. I would also not recommend it for GMs who are just starting out, unless you are comfortable with quickly making important decisions that will influence the future of your campaign.

The book also has very good sections which detail how to get the most out of your players, how to make their characters come alive, and even has examples from the writers as to how the ran and played their own campaigns using the system.
