Proposals for the 2006 International SUN Conference on Teaching and Learning are being accepted. It will be held on the University of Texas at El Paso campus on March 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2006. This year's theme; " Creating Inquiring Minds: How to get students to discover (in) the disciplines" will allow SUN Conference participants to explore new ways of engaging students in the disciplines.

Submissions must be made online at http://sunconference.utep.edu/2006 where you will find information on submission guidelines, session formats, our keynote speakers and much more.

**The deadline for proposals is November 1, 2005.**

The International Sun Conference on Teaching and Learning is dedicated to building a global community of university teachers whose commitment to instructional excellence transcends disciplinary, cultural, and national barriers.

The focus of the conference is on practical, applied strategies, tools, and techniques. All university faculty, instructional staff, instructional developers, and administrators are invited to share their innovative teaching practices, and to explore with their peers transformative college and university teaching methods.

We would appreciate if you could forward this e-mail to your campus faculty members and anyone whom you thinking would be interested in our conference. We would also appreciate if you could promote our conference on your center’s website. I have attached promotional language. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact me.

Keynoters: Orlando L. Taylor, Ed Neal, PhD and Susan K. Wolcott, PhD will share their best ideas for designing learning environments and understanding results. <http://sunconference.utep.edu/2006/keynote.html>

We look forward to learning your best ideas when you come visit sunny El Paso in March!

If you do not wish to receive emails such as this one, please let us know by return email.
