Policies: Application and Admission

To be assured of having time for admissions decisions to be made, submission of application materials for admission as degree-seeking status (even if they are currently special students) should occur two weeks prior to the beginning of a course of study. For the standard semesters these dates are:

August 1 for Fall semester

January 2 for Spring semester

May 1 for Summer semester

Admission as a degree-seeking student may not occur after the close of registration for a course of study (typically the semester).
Applications for admission as a Special Graduate Student are accepted up to the start of classes for which the student will be registered (not to be confused with the "first day of classes”).
No student may change their status (e.g. special to degree) for a semester after the close of registration.
