Graduate Housing in Socorro and Vicinity

Graduate students at New Mexico Tech have the option of obtaining housing on the open market or from New Mexico Tech

Graduate students may rent housing from NMT either as a single graduate student (Graduate Housing) in either a single or shared setting or as a family (Family Housing).  Below is a synopsis of graduate housing options from the university.  If you are interested in more information related to on campus housing, please visit the Residential Life web pages.

  • Graduate Students are housed in "C" building of the Mountain Springs Apartments which is the 2 bedroom small floor plan.  The units are furnished with bedroom and living room furniture and kitchen appliances.  Only 2 people will be assigned to each apartment.

    • bedroom furniture
    • washer and dryer hookups
    • outside storage
    • dishwasher
    • rate schedule

  • Family Housing currently includes Mountain Springs Apartments and Desert Willow Apartments. Family apartments do not come furnished.  Visit the links below for floor plans and building descriptions.

    • Desert Willow Apartments

      • Desert Willow Apartments are quaint townhouses arranged in 6 buildings with 6 units each. Each two story apartment has a kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and 1 1/2 baths.   Two buildings share one laundry room.

    • Mountain Springs Apartments

      • The Mountain Springs Apartments are unfurnished and include all utilities.  Families are housed in "A" Building which is the 2 bedroom small floor plan.

      • The two bedrooms include:

        • kitchen appliances (not pots and pans)

        • washer and dryer hookups

        • outside storage

        • dishwasher

      • Families without children may also choose to live in the 1 bedroom apartments
