*Options - Degrees labeled
"option" include a curriculum that emphasizes the specific topic
under the umbrella of the approved degree. Completion of this option
will be recognized on the transcript of the graduate and not on the
diploma. The degree listed on the diploma will be the approved degree
for that program. For example, a specialization in geology at
the doctoral-level will result in a diploma that lists a doctoral degree in
"Earth and Environmental Science," The transcript will list
a specialization in "Geology." **
Departments offer their financial aid early to attract the best
students. Having your completed application on file by this date
maximizes your chances of receiving the best offer of financial aid. A
small percentage of applicants will reject offers made by our
programs. These assistantships are typically then offered to the next
applicants on the list. All applicants will be
considered for available financial aid, even if they apply after this deadline.
