The Society of St. Joseph The Carpenter
is a ministry of volunteers who serve their parish through the skills of
their hands. The Society was founded in 1993. Its membership is composed
of men and women who donate their time and talents to keep our beautiful
church in good repair. The task of maintaining the oldest (established
in 1598) church in the United States of America is a rewarding experience.
"The Carpenters" undertake projects of almost any reasonable size, from
oiling hinges to building parking facilities. They reach out to the poor
and the incapacitated who have no other help to repair things in their
homes. The Carpenters also help the missions with church repairs.
The Carpenters meet once a month at the Side
Chapel of San Miguel Church. Usually on the second Saturday of the month
at 8:00 AM. Workday follows after the meeting.

PRAYER
St. Joseph is the "Patron
of the Universal Church" and the "Universal Patron" plus "Patron
of Happy Death " He may be invoked with great benefit in all necessities.
