The Globe is a 16-foot diameter rotating sculpture of the earth built by Holly
Hughes with the help of 2,000 volunteers from the Kansas City area and visitors
from 17 foreign counties. The Globe was made for EarthWorks,
an experiential educational program sponsored by Kansas City's Learning Exchange,
located in the Hunt Midwest Subtropolis, Kansas City, MO.The globe was made over
nine months recycling and re-using locally found materials.
