Pieced Vests

I made this vest using 4" paper pieced signature blocks of thimbles,
fabric bolts, spools of thread, irons, rotary cutter, and a sewing machine exchanged
with friends at Quilt Camp in the
Pines in 1998, plus some blocks I exchanged in 1997 with members of QuiltList.
The patterns for the blocks are no longer available on the web.
I made this vest in the "Rose Challenge" with Joann Uecker of
QuiltSwappers. We had to use the red, white, blue, and valentine fabrics
plus several different threads, beads and charms as a part of our
challenge object. My vest includes a three dimensional floral corsage from
a book by Kumiko Sudo and a pieced Featherweight sewing machine from a
pattern by Christine Thresh.
