Here's the finished top on the design wall. Since this pacture was taken I machine quilted it.



This quilt is from a canning jar block swap run on QuiltSwappers in March 1999. The pattern is no longer posted on the QS page but there is a swap currently going on in Australia and you can find a pattern of the same size on that Jar Swap Website. For my own quilt I added bottles for liquids that I think belong in bottles instead of canning jars. Bottles measure 3 x 9.5" and the fat jars measure 7 x 7" with black across the top to bring it up to 9.5" in height. I also put a label on each jar to "preserve" the name of the person who canned the contents. Lynn's Jar Frenzy is one place you can look for instructions for making jar quilts.
