Part I   -   Round Robin Schedule

Here's the Round Robin setup for the first part of the tournament.

The games will be limited by time, innings, and points. The time limit will be 30-minutes per game (a possible 90-minutes per match). The inning limit will be 35 innings. The point limit will be: 8-points for an "A" player, 5-points for a "B" player, and 3-points for a "C" player.

If the time, or inning, limit is reached both players will have an equal number of innings. Reaching any of the limits will end the game. It will be possible to have tie games as well as tie matches.

If a game is ended on time or innings then progress of the players will determine who won. If an "A" got 5 points and a "B" got 3 points then "A" would win as 5/8 (0.625) is greater than 3/5 (0.600).

In case of a tie in matches won the tie breakers will be:

  1. Head to head play.
  2. Round Robin (average), Points per Inning (by 5% margin).
  3. Best Match, Points per Inning (by 5% margin).
  4. Highest run.
  5. Flip of a coin.

Players, please arrange to have somebody keep score for your match. (It will allow you to better concentrate on your game.)

NOTES:

  • Clean table before each match for consistent conditions.
  • Numbers in parenthesis are starting scores per game.
  • If called on time, or innings, play will be on equal inning basis.
  • Make every effort to play at scheduled time for those who may be interested in watching the match.
  • If you reschedule be sure to update the schedule sheet and email the tournament director.
