Chocolate Oatmeal Chippers
Makes 4 dozen 3 inch cookies.
- 1 1/4 C flour
- 1/2 C cocoa
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 C butter or margerine (soft)
- 1 C firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 pkg (2C) milk chocolate chips
- 1 3/4 C quick or old fashioned oats (uncooked)
- 1 C chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In small bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
In lg mixer bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in milk chocolate chips, oats and walnuts.
Drop by slightly rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 9-10 minutes until edges are brown.
Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheets.
