Basic Pastry
- 1 C flour
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/3 C and 1 T shortning
- 2 -3 T cold water
Combine flour and salt in bowl; cut in shortning until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle cold water evenly over surface; stir with fork till all is moist. Shape into ball, chill. Roll pasty to fit casserole dish. (9 inch pie dish)
