Meeting opened with the election of a new Treasurer. Erica and Dave were
the nominees, Erica was elected "a lot" - 3.

A work day was scheduled for Sunday, Sept 11th at 2pm, please attend and
help prepare the observatory for the Enchanted Skies Star Party.

Preliminary Plans for a large movie night were discussed. The movie night
will be focused on collecting donations for a hurricane victims charity to
be decided upon, possibly Salvation Army. Possibly trying to persuade the
Macey Center to sponsor us with the use of their auditorium.

The Enchanted Skies Start Party will be looking for volunteers for October
4th - 8th. Positions will include security, luminaria making, Car Paking,
and Shuttle Driving, among others.

The website should be updated soon with the new Treasurer contact info,
and a calendar of events, among other things.

The star Party on the 17th is still looking for volunteers.

A dedication star party for the new building is in the works, more
information will be posted as the details get worked out.

The Magdelena camping trip has been resheduled for October 1st.

The budget was decided in the amount of $2230 for items including a new
focuser for the 20" dobsonian and new 2" eyepieces. For more details
email an officer of the club.
