Meeting called to order at 12:07
1. Discussed upcoming MS&T conference from Oct 14-Oct 18. Sam reported
that the SA gave our club the maximum budget of $900. This should
cover a lot of the fees for the conference but out of pocket expense
per person will be about $200. Jeb will be responsible for finding and
buying material demonstrations for the conference.
2. Discussed mug drop for MS&T. We will use a glass ceramic in a
mold, inserting graphite rods. Need to talk to Seth to finalize how to
machine the mug.
3. Discussed 49'ers Parade on Saturday Oct 21.
Alex will bring his flatbed truck (aploncaz@nmt.edu)
Tiffany will be the float/project coordinator (tgraves@nmt.edu)
4. Discussed Rio Grande Symposium coming up on Tuesday October 10th.
It will be at the Embassy Suites in Albuquerque. Van will leave Tech
about 7:30 and come back around 6:00. Other carpooling can be arranged
if necessary. See Dr. Burleigh.
5. Next regular meeting will be 10/25/06 at Noon in the Jones lounge
