Minutes for Monday, May 3rd meeting
Meeting called to order by Teri at 4 pm.
1. Treasurer's Report - $1050 in SA funds, $50 in Petty
Cash, and $3 in Fundraising account
2. Minutes for March 1 and April 5th meetings were approved.
3. Officer elections - There were not enough members present
for all offices to have candidates. A meeting will be held
by email over this week.
4. Fall 2004 registration setup - Please keep your schedule
open to help for registration setup in August. Setup will be
on Wednesday, August at 8 am and teardown will be on Monday,
August at 5pm.
5. Plaster ashtray fundraising idea - This will be pursued
in the future.
6. Muhammad Islam suggested that we produce a monthly
newsletter detailing reseach projects and any accomplishments
of materials enginering students. It was suggested that this
be worked on with Paydirt. Remember that Paydirt will pay for
articles of this nature. Those who are interested in this great
opportunity please talk to Muhammad.
7. Soccer - Creting an intramural Materials club or department
soccer team again for the summer was discussed. Those who are
interested please let an officer know.
8. Materials Department wishlist - A list of equipment and
other services that the department would like is due to the Tech
administration by June 30th. Dr. Bond would like for us all to
contribute. If you think that we need a new grinding table, etc.

message will be forwarded.
