Called to order at 12:05
1) Former president, Erica, has left the club. Drew will remain acting
president until the end of the semester.
2) By vote, Sam will be the new vice president until the end of the semester.
3) ACERS report. The meeting was two weeks ago. Students helped with
badges and registration. Events included presentations by the D.O.D,
talk on the space shuttle tiles, and a lot of networking events.
4) Rube Goldberg competition next Saturday (17th of February). The
point is to squeeze an orange and collect the juice. Our club has
decided to use liquid nitrogen to freeze the orange. See Seth for
more meeting times.
5) The club will have a materials booth at the community arts party,
Saturday Feb 10th at the Finely Gym. We will make copper wire
sculptures. Julie and Sam have volunteered. See Dr. B for more
information.
6) The TMS meeting will be in Orlando Feb 25th -March 1st. 2
students have received outside funding and will be going.
7) Dr. Burleigh has asked if we will help out with the catapults for Science
Olympiad on Feb 24th. See Dr. B for more information.
8) MATE soccer schedule on bulletin board in the materials lounge.
9) March 4th there is a "School to World" event. Should we do something?
10) In March the SA is having a blood drive. Each club gets points
depending on how many members show up. (1pt per student and 3pt per
faculty) The club with the most points gets $100.
11) We will have a meeting in 2 weeks.
