Meeting called to order at 12pm
1. Introduction of officers and new club members.
2. Sign up for NMT Club Fair- (9/1/06), Fidel Atrium, 10am-2pm
3. Discuss schedule of upcoming events (see below)
4. Anyone interested in helping with the ceramic mud cup contest, or attending the MS&T conference in Cincinnati, OH should stay after the meeting for more information.
5. If anyone is using the lockers in the Jones Lounge, see department secretary Kathy to fill out a form.
6. There was an idea to start a dedicated Materials club bulletin board in the Jones Lounge. Anyone can post announcements about upcoming meetings, seminars, and graduate defenses.
7. There was a reminder to sign up for materials advantage at http://www.materialsadvantage.com/ Dues for membership are only $25 per year, and the student receives the benefit of belonging to all four organizations. A rebate of $5.00 per student is sent directly to our club.
8. There was a reminder to sign up for a materials club/department soccer team. If interested email Ben Crowder at bcrowder@nmt.edu.
