Items in "Open" and "Save As" Dialog Boxes Sorted Incorrectly

When you use the Open command or the Save As command in Windows 98
or Windows 2000, the items in the Open or Save As dialog box 
may be sorted incorrectly.

To resolve this behavior, reset the default sort order: 
 1. Open Explorer
 2. On the View menu, click Details.
 3. Click the Name column to sort items by name.
 4. Click Tools, Folder Options.
 5. Click View tab.
 6. Click Reset All Folders.
 7. Click Like Current Folder.
 8. Click OK.
 9. Hold CTRL and then quit Windows Explorer by clicking Close in the upper-right corner of the screen.
10. Release the CTRL key.
11. Restart the computer.
