Here's how I did it, there may be an easier way. The original IE4 animated icons (22x22ani.bmp and 38x38ani.bmp) can be found in the IEAK.CAB file on the IE4 CD in the EN\IE40\ directory.  Extract them to a directory on your hard drive.  I put them in my Internet Explorer directory. Next, edit the registry (using the location of the BMP files on your drive of course) as follows:     HKEY_USERS         .default             Software                 Microsoft                     Internet Explorer                         Toolbar                             BrandBitmap = "c:\program files\internet explorer\38x38ani.bmp"                             SmBrandBitmap = "c:\program files\internet explorer\22x22ani.bmp" It's possible to brand IE4 with any animated BMP.  The directions are on the graphics.htm in the IEAK.cab file. jim miller to reply, change the _dot_ to .
