Here is a rigidly rotating green square.
Using the bottom scroll bar slowly occlude the rotating square and see what happens to your perception of its rigidity.
You will see it shrink and expand even though the square's size remains constant. Also try varying the shape of the occluder by clicking inside the applet's
window.
