Software Freedom Day (SFD) is a worldwide celebration of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). Our goal in this celebration is to educate the worldwide public about of the benefits of using high quality FOSS in education, in government, at home, and in business -- in short, everywhere!
ACM will be hosting:
- Programming Contests
- Free Software Table - CDs, handouts, info
- Free Software Coding Workshops
10:00 - Intro to Programming Contests Workshops
11:00 - Beginners Programming Contest
12:00 - Coding Free Software Workshop
12:00 - Pizza
13:00 - Programming Contest (Sponsored by dreamincode.net)
Dream.In.Code, the #1 programming help community on the internet, will sponsor the SFD Contest. First prize winners will each receive a Limited Edition Dream.In.Code Lava Lamp, Dream.In.Code 1GB Thumb Drive, and $50. Second prize winners will each get a Dream.In.Code 1GB Thumb Drive and $25.
