schedweb: Automatic catalog linking
If the -c option is not used, no attempt will be made
to link course numbers to the online catalog.
If, however, you want every reference to a course to be a live
link to an online course catalog, you must do these things:
- Establish a single webgen topic (directory) that
contains all catalog pages.
- Use the -ctopic option to tell schedweb
what topic contains those catalog pages.
- Organize the catalog so that each department's courses are
placed in up to five files---one each for 100-level, 200-level,
300-level, 400-level, and grad courses. The names of each
file must be the department code followed by either 100,
200, 300, 400, or grad;
for example, a 600-level Physics course would be found in
file physgrad.g.
- Within each of these files, you must establish an anchor
for each course, whose name is the course number, followed
by L if it is a lab. For example, if the catalog topic is
courses, the full webgen
reference for Physics 121 lab would be:
<r id="courses/physgrad#121L">
