XSLT example: TCC people file

Here is an example showing an XSLT script to convert a fairly simple XML file to web form. Files include:

• The source file, people.xml, describes the people who work for the Tech Computer Center.
• The Document Type Definition (DTD), people.dtd, describes the structure of the XML file. See Constructing a document type definition (DTD) for XML for more on DTDs.
• people-web.xsl is the XSLT script that converts people.xml to people-web.html. See the XSLT Reference for an explanation of XSLT.
• Here is the HTML rendering produced by the XSLT script.
• The commands that build the HTML version are part of the Makefile for the TCC Knowledge Matrix project. There is extensive discussion of the XSLT used in this project in the Knowledge Matrix project documentation, including some general remarks about the author's opinion of XSLT after doing this project.
