XML and SGML: Using markup languages |
|
XML (eXtended Markup Language) and SGML (Standard General Markup Language) are methods for marking up text with ``tags'' to make it easy to search text for specific kinds of data and translate or extract data into other forms.
For XML work related to the World Wide Web, see `Web construction and maintenance at the NMT Computer Center'.
For a general introduction to XML, and a list of resources, see XML Resources.
