VPN (Virtual Private Network) with Windows XP |

To create a VPN connection to the TCC in Microsoft Windows XP:
Start" menu, select
"Control panel".
Network Connections".
Network Tasks", click on
"Create a new Connection". This brings up
the "New Connection Wizard".
Next".
Connect to network at my workplace"
radiobutton, then click "Next".
Virtual Private Network" radiobutton,
then click "Next".
Company Name", enter "TCC",
then click "Next".
Host name", enter "vpn.nmt.edu",
then click "Next".
Create this connection for:",
select "My use only", then click "Next".
Finish". This brings up a window
named "Connect TCC".
Properties" button.
Networking".
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)".
Properties".
Use the following DNS server addresses".
Preferred DNS server", enter
"129.138.4.138".
Alternate DNS server", enter
"129.138.250.10".
OK", then click "OK" again.
To connect to the VPN server, double-click on the new connection icon that was created above, and log in with your current TCC username and password. There is no charge for this service.
