VPN (Virtual Private Network) with MacOS X Leopard (10.5)

These instructions apply to using VPN with Mac OS X Leopard (10.5).

  1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences....
  2. Under Internet & Network, click the Network icon. screen shot of Network prefpane
  3. If the padlock icon is locked, click it and authenticate yourself.
  4. Click the “+” button located under the list on the left.
  5. From the Interface menu, select vpn. Add Service menu
  6. From the VPN Type menu, select PPTP.
  7. In the Service Name field, enter “TCC”.
  8. Click Create.

  10. In the Server Address field, enter “”.
  11. In the Account Name field, enter your TCC account name.
  12. Under Encryption, select Maximum (128 bit only).
  13. Click on Authentication Settings....

  14. Select the Password radiobutton, enter your TCC password, and click OK.
  15. Back in the Network panel, click on Advanced.... Advanced settings panel
  16. Click on the DNS tab at the top of the panel.
  17. Under DNS Servers:, enter these two lines:
  18. Under Search Domains:, enter these two lines:
  19. Click Apply.
  20. Click Connect to establish a connection.
