Our VPN (Virtual Private Network) server, vpn.nmt.edu, allows users of the TCC who are not on campus to connect to TCC servers remotely as if they were on campus. This allows access to resources that are restricted to on-campus use, such as software installs, and databases such as those in the Skeen Library.
To use VPN, you must have a valid TCC username and password. The transmission of the username and password is encrypted to ensure security. Under MS Windows, VPN uses PPTP (Point-To-Point Tunneling Protocol).
