Limiting file access to specific people

Tech Computer Center logo

If you want to allow a specific list of people access to some files, Unix allows you to set up a group of users.

If you need to set up and use a group, please consult with a system programmer.

If what you really need is to share files among several users, you may find that a source code control system is what you need. Please see the manual page for rcs.
