WebCT access through the Windows XP firewall

To set up the Windows XP Firewall to allow WebCT access, you must have administrator access to the system.

1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel.
2. From Control Panel, select Windows Firewall.
3. In the Windows Firewall panel, click on the Exceptions tab.
4. Click on the Add port button.
5. In the Add a port panel, under Name, enter:

   WebCT

6. Under Port number, enter:

   443

7. Click the Change scope button in the lower left corner.
8. In the Change Scope panel, click the Custom list radiobutton.
9. In the text area under Custom list, enter:

   129.138.4.58

10. In the Change Scope panel, click Ok.
11. In the Add a port panel, click Ok.
12. In the Windows Firewall panel, click Ok.
