An ID attribute is used to name some
element. Accordingly, it must follow the XML rules for names:
The first or only character must be a letter.
The remaining characters must be letters, digits,
hyphens (-), underscores (_), colons (:), or periods
(.).
Examples of valid ID attributes:
x, b7-224.9, and
z_and1r0n.
