The iclicker is a small electronic remote that students can use to give immediate responses in the classroom. Each unit has a unique identifying number.
Applications include:
Taking attendance: the student can press a button to verify their presence in class.
Voting: instructors can ask students to vote on an issue by pressing a button.
Signaling: instructors can set up protocols so that, for example, certain button-presses might mean “slow down” or “I didn't understand that.”
Decisions about whether or not to use iclickers, and how they are to be used, are entirely up to each instructor.
