1. What is Moodle?

Moodle is a courseware system, that is, it is a way for your instructor to transmit and receive course-related information via the Web. All interactions with Moodle take place within your favorite Web browser, regardless of what operating system you are using.

  • The instructor may choose Moodle to post several types of course materials such as lecture notes, announcements, assignments, online quizzes, and your grades.

  • Your instructor may want you to submit completed assignments on the Moodle site, or take quizzes.

  • At your instructor's discretion, the course's Moodle site may also contain interactive course-related communications features such as bulletin boards, chat rooms, or Wikis.
