For the institution administrator account “admin”, there is no special login screen.
You go to the same URL as ordinary users, the welcome page.
Use login name nmt_domain; get the password
from another administrator.
You are now in the administrator's “My Blackboard” page. The layout here is basically the same as for any ordinary Blackboard user.

In the top center of the page, the button takes you to the New Mexico Tech homepage. The button takes you to the Blackboard support site; see Section 2, “What you'll need” for the support login procedure. Use the icon to log out.
At login, the tab appears. In the left side, under My Features, note the and links. You will use these links to administer the site and to manipulate your collection of files.
The tab is part of the Community System. Blackboard wants to be your entire Web site, and other, smaller schools will have significant content here. On our site, it is perfunctory.
The tab is for courses in which you are enrolled.
The tab gives you access to organizations. An organization has structure similar to a class, but without some class-related mechanisms. An organization allows the management of a set of members with access to features for that organization. For example, campus clubs could be organizations.
The tab gives you access to a repository of documents and other content that are shared across the site. This is a good place to store files that are widely used such as policy statements and boilerplate text.
Use the tab to access the full range of administrative functions. This tab does not appear for mere mortals.
Later sections will describe the functions within this page.
