Printing: The way to find out if your stuff is printing

If you would like check on the status of your print job:
- Type lpq and then a space at the
prompt---but do not press Enter yet. For example,
<>$lpq
- Type -P, followed by the name of the printer you chose.
For example,
<>$lpq -Pspeare5
Notice the name of the printer is always in lowercase letters.
This will generate on your computer screen a list of the files that
the printer is printing or preparing to print. If you don't see the
name of your file on this list:
- Check the printer you chose for your printouts.
- Check
Printing: The place printouts are kept for your printouts.
- Check with a
user consultant (UC).
