Printing: The options to the print command
|
|
If want you to add more specific instructions to the printing command (the
lpr command), there are a variety of options you can type in after the -P
instruction.
- Type various instructions to the printer after -P, the
name of the printer, and a space.
For example
<>$lpr -Pspeare5 -h
Here are the most common instructions:
- -h: do not print a header page
- -Zduplex: print double-sided
- -Zlandscape: print with the long side of the paper at the top
- -Z2up: print two page images on each page
- -Z4up: print four page images on each page
- -Zlegal: print on legal-size paper (Speare16 only)
- -K#: number of copies you wish to print
A complete list of options for the lpr command and further
instructions can be found at
the man page for lpr.
