Printing: Locating the file -- what directory it is in
|
|
Unix always assumes that the
file you request is in the
directory you are in at the time you made the request.
Not sure if you are in the correct directory?
- Type
ls at the user
prompt to discover what files are in the directory you are in.
(For example, <>$ls)
If you are not in the correct directory:
- Type
cd, space, then the name of the
directory you wish to change to.
(For example, <>$cd somestuff), OR
- Type the full
pathname location of the file.
(For example, <>$cd somestuff/morestuff)
