Printing: The commands to the printer

You type commands to the printer at the command known as a prompt, which looks something like this: <>$. (If your
prompt does not look like this don't panic -- just go ahead.)
- Type lpr then a space. Do not press enter until
Step 4!
For example
<>$lpr
- Type -P followed by the name of the printer you want to use.
For example
<>$lpr -Pspeare5
Notice the name of the printer is always in lower
case letters.
- Type the complete name of the file.
For example
<>$lpr -Pspeare5 homework.txt
<>$lpr -Pcolor poster.ps
- Press Enter.
