Adding notices in Ical

A notice is some event that happens on a specific day, but not at any particular time, such as a birthday or holiday.

To add a notice:

  1. Select the correct day. If the correct month is not showing, click on the arrows on either side of the year and month number to change the year or month. When you are on the right month, click on the day of the appointment.
  2. Click the left mouse button in the blank area in the lower left corner, below the calendar. A new, highlighted blank will appear there.
  3. Type in a textual description of the notice.

Warning: A notice is always attached to a particular day, so it will not stay around on the next day's calendar. If you have some task that must be done, see the next page, `Adding to-do events in Ical'.
