xhue: An X color-picking tool in Python

xhue.py is a complete X application using Python and the Tkinter widgets. Its purpose is to allow you to pick or create colors for your X applications.

• If you are currently on an X workstation at the Tech Computer Center, you can run this application by typing:

        /u/www/docs/tcc/help/lang/python/xhue.py

  Use the "Help" button on the menu bar of this application for assistance.
• The Python source for this application is worth study. It includes examples of many types of Tkinter widgets. It also shows how you can simplify design by making your own new widget classes.
• In this application, complexity is tamed by using widgets that are nested inside widgets that are nested inside other widgets. Here is a diagram that may help you follow the program listing:
