Here are some useful techniques for Icon programmers.

• The concept of backtracking in Icon is a powerful tool but can be somewhat difficult to master. Here is a Usenet posting from comp.lang.icon on the subject.
• You can use Icon to write CGI handlers for the World Wide Web. See `Writing CGI handlers with the Icon language'.
• It is possible to write Icon programs that talk to TCP sockets. See `Using TCP Sockets with the Icon language'.
