Designing a leaf chunk

Tech Computer Center logo

The simplest type of Web page or chunk is the ``leaf'' page, which simply imparts one item of information. (If we envision a web as a branching tree of chunk, a leaf chunk is one at the ends of the branches.)

Whenever possible, try to keep the size of a leaf chunk small, so that the reader will not have to scroll the screen down to read any of it. If your chunk is too large, think about how it might best be divided into smaller pieces.
