word processor

 Tech Computer Center logo
A program used for writing, editing, displaying and printing documents. In general, word processors are more complex than text editors, which are usually used on plain ASCII text, but less complex than typesetting tools, which are used in the most complex document designs. See `Selecting a word processor or typesetting system'.
