tar

The Unix tar command is a utility for handling
archives of files:
- It can assemble entire large directory structures into
a single file (called a tar archive), which can
be saved or written to offline backup.
- It can reconstitute directory structures from a tar
archive.
- It can extract one or more files from a tar archive.
