pulldown menu

Pulldown or pull-down menus are common
features of many programs that run under
windowing systems.
They are sometimes called drop-down menus.
- Using your
mouse (or other
pointing device), move the
cursor to the
menu bar.
- Press and hold a mouse button, usually the left one
(but see
click for information about multiple mouse buttons).
A list of choices should appear.
- Still holding down the mouse button, move the mouse so the
cursor is on the choice you want.
- Release the mouse button.
In many menus you will see an arrow on the right side of some
of the menu choices. This usually indicates the use of
cascading menus (which see).
