kilobyte

A kilobyte is a unit of computer storage, defined as 1,024 bytes.

It is sometimes abbreviated as ``Kb'' or ``Kbyte.'' Normally ``kilo'' means a thousand, but in computer parlance a ``K'' is 1,024.
