hypertext
A way of structuring documents into chunks of text connected by
link
. When you use a
browser
to read hypertext, you can follow a link (by clicking on it with a mouse, for example) and the browser will move to the related chunk of text. You can then follow other links from that chunk, or return to the previous chunk.
