hard disk

A type of
disk that is
typically faster and larger in capacity than a
floppy disk.
Hard disks (also called disk drives) include:
- Non-removable drives. The files you own,
the ones you see when you do an ls command,
are stored on non-removable hard drives.
- We also have some removable hard drives
that can be used for making
backup copies or transferring files from
other systems.
