database

A database system is a tool for managing large amounts of data. For example, if you have to manage a list of 10,000 part numbers, you probably need a database system.

Our Unix systems have available three database programs: Sybase, Ingres, and Postgres. Documentation for these systems is under development. Please write the author if you need a database system.
